What this site collects
The Screening Room does not ask visitors to register, subscribe or submit personal details. No newsletter list is kept and no account system exists.
Server logs
The web server records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested page, referrer and browser user agent. These are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and are not combined with anything else or sold.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie only to remember your light/dark reading preference. Leaving a comment stores the name and site address you type, in your own browser, so you do not have to retype them.
Third parties
Images and video may be embedded from external services; those services can see the request your browser makes to them. No advertising or analytics trackers are added by this site.
